Below are frequently asked questions, you may find the answer for yourself.
Lab and natural diamonds have the exact same physical, chemical, and optical properties. The difference lies in origin: lab diamonds are created in controlled environments, while natural diamonds form over millions of years in the earth. Even gemologists need specialized equipment to tell them apart. Lab diamonds offer a more socially conscious and less environmentally harmful alternative — no lives are at risk in their creation.
Moissanite is a completely different gemstone with its own chemical makeup. While diamonds (both lab and natural) rate 10/10 on the Mohs scale, moissanite is 9.25–9.5, still suitable for everyday wear. Moissanite offers great value and extra sparkle, but has different optical properties than a diamond. The price difference becomes more significant in higher carat sizes, since moissanite is priced by millimeter and lab diamonds by carat weight.
They have a reduced carbon footprint and no mining impact. However, instead of labeling them as "eco-friendly," we believe their greatest attribute is that they are socially conscious — created without harming lives or exploiting natural resources.
The 4Cs—Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat Weight—together define the unique beauty of a diamond. The 4Cs standard also determines a diamond’s value. While all four Cs are essential, each person may prioritize a different one based on her own preferences. For some, carat weight may matter more than the diamond’s cut, while others may value the gemstone’s color over its clarity. Understanding the 4Cs and knowing your own preferences can help you choose a diamond that suits your lifestyle and budget.
